The Beaufort County School District (BCSD) is beginning to plan the FY26 (2025-2026 school year) budget and seeks public input. Like many districts nationwide, BCSD anticipates unique challenges in the coming year. We are already preparing to fund successful initiatives aligned with the District’s new Strategic Plan. Additionally, we are planning for rising costs in services, supplies, and compensation.
State and local funds will be essential to maintain our progress in compensation and remain competitive. We are hopeful that the state legislature will provide additional funding to support teachers’ salaries and other state mandates. As we gather your feedback, we will identify common themes to incorporate into our budget priorities.
