Consultation has concluded
The Board of Education (BOE) Operations Committee is requesting additional feedback from Beaufort County residents regarding student reassignment.
Earlier this year, four reassignment options were presented to the BOE Operations Committee. The Committee recommended, and the full Board subsequently approved, Option 2 for public review and feedback. Throughout August, the District conducted six public meetings and an online survey to gather community input regarding Option 2.
District staff reviewed and analyzed the feedback received through those engagement opportunities and developed Option 2A based on the themes and suggestions provided by the community.
Option 2A was presented to the BOE Operations Committee on September 8. Following that presentation, the Committee requested that staff conduct an additional survey to gather feedback specifically on Option 2A and return the results to the Committee at its September 29 meeting.
