Consultation has concluded.
On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act was signed into law which authorized the U.S. Department of Education to provide an additional $121.9 billion for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER III Fund). This legislation provided emergency relief funds to address the impact that COVID-19 has had, and continues to have, on elementary and secondary schools across the nation. These funds are available through September 2024.
The Beaufort County School District (BCSD) received over $50.9 million to address learning loss and academic needs related to the Covid-19 pandemic. BCSD will be amending the current grant to address new needs that have arisen in the past year, and we would like to hear from our parents and guardians, employees, and community members!
